This was at one Sushi bar in Japan. The guy behind me, he is my travel mate. We were working at the same company and it was new employee training program and I was 28 years. So young and so confident and so fun everything in my life. The girl in front me, she was a student at Tokyo and she was a Korean. How did I met her? I was asking her direction in Japanese and I got it. And she said "Are you Korean?" in Korean after all.
	Sorry man, I can't remember your name. We were on the same boat for 2 weeks and we had a plenty of money and our target was to travel from Osaka, Kyoto and to Tokyo. We had a full travel plan and a project also. We did a survey which was written in Japanese. Who made this? of course, its me. I went to Japanese speaking class for 6 months preparing this trip.
	look at my hair style. I changed my hair style for this trip. I wanted to make myself Japanese looking and my fashion too. So people on the street can't tell if I am Korean. If you want to learn Japan you got to be Japanese, language, culture, way of thinking, even food. Did I learn something from Japan? Yes I surely did. What did I learn? I learned I can be anywhere in the world and I can't learn anything before I love Japan.
	This is Tokyo Disney land. First time visiting. Just like a kid. not tired at all. Just enjoy what has given to me. I want to travel Japan again. The country Japan gave me a lot of good impression. I didn't even think about historical background. Yes there was some humiliating story in our history and I am not forgetting about that. But so what? We need to get over with that and move on. and maybe spread Gospel in the future.

	This was on the boat at Sydney Australia May, 1997. How can I remember exactly? Because that was the time I quit my job at Hanwha after 2 and half years.  And also one month before I came to US. At that time I got an admission from school and everything was ready. Only thing I was waiting for was just a flight. I'v never been to US before and starting new life at the city called, Philadelphia.  Can you guess the excitement I have at that time?
	Can you see my white bag pack? I brought that in US and used while I was in school. I was 29 and 30 years old. Did I go to church at that time? Well, No. I have decided not to go church again. Why? I thought God didn't answer my prayer which I desperately wanted. I was still happy without God in my life until I came to Philly.
	Can you read something from my face? You know why I didn't go to church. It was just one month after I broke up with my girl friend after long running struggle for 3 years. She stayed and I left. My blue t-shirt, she liked this very much and it was my favorite cloth because she liked it. I still have this but barely remember any story with this. We really wanted to travel together somewhere oversea. And this was my first oversea trip and she was not with me.
	But I was not all alone. I could find some friend from my package group. We went rafting? It was awesome. Best experience I ever had in my life. It was real white water and we were on boat for 6 hours. Dangerous? of course. that's why I like it. It makes you feel alive. It makes you shout as loud as you can and let your spirit fly into somewhere deep into the river. You should try.....

	이사진은 우리가 처음으로 snap 가을 자켓을 만들고 찍은 것 같은데94년도니까 2기들이 다들 제대하고 모인거죠. 그러니까 27살쯤. 27살이 면 어린나이도 아닌데 사진은 왜이렇게 젊어보이지. 경찬이만 빼고. 그때 이자켓 경진이가 만들었나? 실패작이었지만 I liked it. 내가 이거 미국에서 입고 다니니까 흑인애들이 엄청 좋아하더라구.마치 권투선수입는 옷 같다나. whatever...
	이사진은 졸업식을 앞두고 학교에가서 찍은 것 같은데 가운데 있는놈이 백중인데 2기중에선 키가 제일 컷지. 성원이는 얼마전에도 LA 가서 만났지. 딸 둘 키우느라 정신이 없더라구. 다니는 회사도 그만두고 이제 산호세로 이사를 온데나. 정말인 것 같은데 조만간에 같이 농구할날이 올 것 같지.
	이건 아마 무슨 창립제 같은데 서 찍은 것 같은데 언제인지 기억이 않나지 호프집인걸 보면 신촌 어디쯤인 것 같은데. 혹시 경진이가 일하던 카이저? 신촌하면 잊을수 없는 사건들이 많지. 알만한 사람은 다 알지. 사진이 왜 흑백이냐구? 성원이랑 나랑은 술만먹으면 빨게져서 흑백으로 바꾸니 좀 나아보이더라구. 경찬이는 원래 술않먹어도 얼굴이 저래. 별명이 짐승이었지. 군대갔다와선 송순경으로 바뀌었지만. 우리중에 유일하게 전경갔다온 놈이거든. 아무튼 보고싶군. 올해 한국에 들어가면 꼭 시간을내서 한자리에 모였으면 좋겠다...

Military
Can you believe this is me? looks tough isn't it? I was in Field Artillery Force(155mm). And this heavy weapon was my baby and sweetheart for 2 years. I had to take care of her very early in the morning and late afternoon every day. I was around 22 years old. My skill was the best in our camp. It was easy job for me because my major in school was mechanical engineering and I had a good sense of shooting something like basketball. You know how good I am at basketball. But life in military was boring.
　

When I was in the camp several girls came to visit me but one girl didn't come. She is the one I was waiting for always. I gave her this picture because I thought this is the best picture I have at that time and looked cool to me. But she didn't like the military soldier. I think she liked city guy or intelligent-looking. What happened to her and me after military service? nothing. She got married and I found others. When you go to military it is a matter of time to lose someone you like and the memory you kept in your heart.

Overall I am proud of myself that I served the country and went through such a difficult time.
